Naturally Whiten Your Teeth with Common Household Items

   A huge market has been emerging over the past decade of whitening your teeth with out the high costs of a dentist. We see it marketed in toothpaste, mouthwash, gum, gels and whitening strips. For a lot of people these are just not an option, as some whitening products irritate the gums and mouth or are just too expensive to be a viable solution. There is and always was a natural alternative.

  Apples! Ever hear "An Apple a day keeps the Doctor Away"? This is even true for dential health. Apples contain malic acid that has been proven to effectively whiten teeth plus its crunchy which will help to clean the teeth naturally.

Strawberries also have this ability to whiten your teeth. Most effective, you can make a natural strawberry and lemon juice paste by mashing strawberries into a mushy paste and adding about a teaspoon of fresh squeezed lemon juice and brushing your teeth for several minutes a few times a week. Be sure to brush your teeth clean after you try the strawberry and lemon paste or the coloring in the strawberry will have time to set it making your teeth pink.

Baking Soda is also a great and inexpensive alternative to brush away hard set in stains on teeth. Try it every day for 2 weeks and you will see a dramatic difference comparable to gels or whitening strips.


Apple Cider Vinegar is also just effective on teeth whitening if used as a mouth wash, just mix with equal parts water and swish for 30 seconds a day. Apple cider vinegar is also effective for killing odor causing bacteria in the mouth.


Also it helps over all health to drink pleanty of water and eat healthy veggies and fruit. Brush regularly and especially after drinking dark fluids like tea or coffee. Whitening your teeth doesn't have to be expensive and can be done naturally at home.
